I discovered the dollhouse and miniatures hobby when I was 13 years old during a trip to the Children's Museum in Indianapolis. As I have always been captivated by tiny things, I fell in love with the houses and the rooms; I specially remember a children's room decorated in bright colors with a toy train that worked. Two years later I received my first dollhouse for Christmas and since then I have been happily making, collecting and dreaming about miniatures.
Here I am today, at my worktable in my home in British Columbia, Canada.
The wonderful thing about miniatures is that the more creations or scenes I make, the more ideas I get and this in turn pushes me to explore and to learn more. I'm never quite sure where my next inspiration will come from, or how a piece will evolve while I'm making it. I like to blend reality with fantasy and add a special or unexpected detail to my pieces. I also like to make miniatures you can play with and that you can set out in different ways adding your personal touch to them.
